01--Purple Passion Asparagus

This variety is highly sought after for the purple spears with green interior.  Sure to decorate any meal or table.  Very sweet and delicious, with a crunch.  Sweeter than green asparagus.  Open polintaed variety.  Produces big spears, so spacing should be reduced to 8 inches between plants, which makes a more efficient garden space.

Purple Passion asparagus is relatively new on the world market and is a product of conventional plant breeding, (NOT GMO).  Purple Passion asparagus has exploded in recent popularity, and as a result, there is a worldwide shortage of plants.  Very adaptive, and easy to grow.

02--Jersey Giant Asparagus

Jersey Giant Asparagus is a national favorite by gardeners and professional growers alike.  Produce very large green spears with purple bracks and a very large harvest.  Jersey Giant can produce twice the yield of standard asparagus varieties.  Produces exceptionally well in the northern/colder climates.  High yields with good sized stalks which net a nice harvest weight for selling.

Very adaptive, and easy to grow.  Very resistant to rust, fusarium wilt, and crown rot.

03--Jersey Knight Asparagus

Jersey Knight Asparagus is a favorite nationwide.  It tolerates heat and clay soils better than other asparagus crowns/varieties, and is also the only asparagus plant that can over-winter to zone-3.

This male dominant hybrid is renowned for high productivity, big harvest, large spears, and great color.

Very adaptive, and easy to grow.  Very resistant to rust, fusarium wilt, and crown rot.

04--Jersey Supreme Asparagus

Jersey Supreme is the first of the Jersey varieties to be ready for harvest, a full 7-10 days before Jersey Knight or Giant.  A great way to get the earliest cash crop in town or to extend your garden season.  Cold-hardy, and overwinters to zone-3.

Very adaptive, and easy to grow.  Very resistant to rust, fusarium wilt, and crown rot.

05--Mary Washington Asparagus

An old staple, Mary Washington is an heirloom variety with fuller flavor.  10 crowns should produce enough for 2 people, and should continue to produce for up to 20 years.  Best planted in early Spring or in the Fall.
